Currently, there are 50 patients with confirmed coronavirus being treated in the hospital, all of them are citizens of Abkhazia. Patients receive treatment in full.

Patients are brought in by ambulance from all regions of the republic. The decision on hospitalization and further treatment is made in agreement with the local doctors.

“The condition of those discharged is good. They were admitted to the hospital with a moderate severity of the disease. They were prescribed a course of treatment. After the treatment we took X-rays, which showed positive dynamics and results. After that, it was decided to discharge the patients, " said Head of the infectious diseases department, Major of the Medical Service, Albert Totorkulov.

After discharge, the patients shared their feelings with journalists. “The Russian doctors of the hospital showed great attention and care. This largely helped to overcome the disease and contributed to our recovery. The treatment conditions are very good, all doctors are professionals in their field, ” said one of the discharged patients, Lada Kharitonova.

Russian military doctors are additionally conducting research on PCR diagnostics of analyzes delivered from the town's laboratories. More than 600 analyzes were processed within a few days.
