On the way to the capital Russian colleagues inspected infrastructure facilities being restored with funds from the Investment Program for Assistance to the Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Abkhazia.

First of all, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development checked the construction progress of the main line connecting the sewage pumping station No. 4 in Gagra with the treatment plant. The length of the pipeline is 19 km. So far, 7,800 meters have been laid.

Then the Russian delegation visited the Bzyb substation. Employees of the Ministry of Economic Development checked the progress of work at the facility. The reconstruction of the substation is provided by the Investment Program for 2020-2022. and is implemented within the framework of the "Program for the Prospective Development of the Electric Power Industry of Abkhazia". The work being carried out at the substation will increase its capacity.

Arsou Chitanava, the head of the Abkhazian Railways, joined the delegation in Gudauta region. Together they examined several sections of the railway track and emergency sections requiring major repairs.

Further, the delegation went to Sukhum to meet with the head of state.
