THE KREMLIN WILL NOT SEND LUKASHENKO ANY SIGNALS ON THE RECOGNITION OF ABKHAZIA AND SOUTH OSSETIA

The Kremlin will not send any signals to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to recognize the independence of South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Crimea as a Russian region. This was reported by TASS with reference to a statement by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

"In all likelihood, our ally and partner will make his own decision when find it viable," the Kremlin spokesman said. He stated that the Belarusian leader is well aware of the real situation with the status of Crimea, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

"There is apparently no need for additional signals," Peskov said.
