Presenting the document, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Christina Ozgan noted that, despite the complexity of the project to open the Sukhum airport and resume air traffic, the Abkhaz side is carrying out a large amount of work with the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Federal Air Transport Agency. It is necessary to create a national airline, which will take part in negotiations with the Russian side  from the Abkhaz side for further work in this direction.

Prime Minister Alexander Ankvab noted that this work is very important for the future. He also pointed out the need to train qualified personnel for the airline.

Ozgan replied that the Ministry of Economy is forming a request for personnel training and retraining of specialists who are in Abkhazia, in the corresponding educational institutions of the Russian Federation. There was sent a request to the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation for the admission of applicants from Abkhazia to specialized Russian universities for the next year.

The head of government noted that it is necessary to train civil aviation pilots.

“We have young military pilots and we also need other civil aviation professionals,” he said.
