THE BUDGET OF ABKHAZIA RECEIVED 3.8 BILLION RUBLES OF OWN INCOME IN 8 MONTHS

Sukhum. September 3, 2021. Apsnypress. Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia held a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Vladimir Delba, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

They discussed parameters of the revenues and expenditures of the budget execution for 8 months of the year, the main directions of current republican expenditures, the amount of funding for needs related to the fight against coronavirus infection.

1, 3 billion 800 million rubles were received from expected own income for the year (5 billion 200 million rubles) as of September.

Despite a slight drop in some planned receipts, the volume of own income for 8 months of 2021 is more than the same period last year by 1 billion 200 thousand rubles, or 46%, and in comparison with 2019 - by 25%.

Vladimir Delba noted that taking into account the good trend in execution of the revenue side of the budget, it makes sense to come up with a proposal to increase its expenditure side. "This will increase the capacity to cover the needs of the health care system, as well as begin to pay off debts on court decisions," Delba said.

The minister stressed that the implementation of the second will allow part of the funds to return to the budget in the form of taxes.

He also spoke about the spending of budgetary funds, explaining that the health and education systems are still the most important area. For 8 months of 2021, 281 mln rubles were sent from the republican budget for the needs related to COVID-19.

In addition, 140 million rubles were allocated from the budget in the form of targeted assistance to citizens, which includes financing of tuition fees at universities, for undergoing treatment outside the republic, etc.

In addition, other areas of the state's life are financed according to the plan.

For example, it is necessary to finance the damage caused by natural disasters. According to preliminary information, the state will have to pay 116 million rubles due to the damage caused by the hurricane wind on July 4. The corresponding commission continues its work.

At the end of the meeting, Alexander Ankvab emphasized that the growth of own income was made possible thanks to a systematic approach to the administration of customs and tax payments and a significant decrease in the level of smuggling.

“Now we have to continue this work in a qualified way and mobilize funds for their qualitative distribution for the needs of the state and society,” Ankvab concluded.
