Sukhum. 9th of March. Apsnypress. The Parliament held a meeting of the head of state Aslan Bzhania with the deputies. This is the fifth meeting of Bzhania with the deputy corps. It lasted more than two and a half hours.

Speaker of the Parliament Valeriy Kvarchia, opening the meeting, noted that the situation in the country is not easy. “The beginning of this year is not encouraging. Political and public organizations and the population ask questions of concern to them. I cannot say that they are unfounded. They are all legitimate. Some questions concern not only the president, but also the parliament and other structures. We must solve these issues together, ”said Kvarchia.

The deputies asked President questions on various topics, including problems in the energy sector, mining, the work of law enforcement agencies, the fight against corruption, pensions for Abkhaz citizens who do not receive Russian pensions, the concept of Abkhazian foreign policy, Georgian-Abkhaz relations, etc.

Following the meeting, President Aslan Bzhania suggested the deputies to prepare their own version of the part of the concept that concerns Georgian-Abkhaz relations.

“Prepare a letter with your wording and it will be reflected in the concept. If you want to remove this term ("multilevel negotiations" - ed. AP), we will remove it, no problem, " Bzhania said.

President also said that the Achguara high-voltage line would be repaired, and the corresponding agreements had already been reached with the Russian side.

Aslan Bzhania instructed the deputy head of the Presidential Office, Dzhansukh Nanba, to prepare proposals on how to resolve the issue of increasing pensions for certain categories of pensioners who do not receive a Russian pension by the end of the week.

In addition, the head of state stressed that this is already his fifth meeting with the Parliament, and he considers such meetings useful. The head of state proposed to make them traditional, to meet with deputies once every three months and involve ministers and other officials in order to substantively discuss individual issues.
