PRESIDENT'S PRESS SERVICE: OFFENSES AND UNREASONABLE ACCUSATIONS AGAINST THE HEAD OF STATE WILL RECEIVE AN APPROPRIATE LEGAL ASSESSMENT FROM THE PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE

Wednesday, 10 March 2021 18:38 378

Sukhum. March 5, 2021. Apsnypress. The RA President's press service called the accusations against the head of state Aslan Bzhania contained in the statement of the public organization “Abkhazian People's Movement” spread on March 2, offensive and unfounded.

The APM accused Bzhania of surrendering national interests and stated that he "crossed the red line, which deprives him of the moral right to have the powers prescribed in Article 53 of the Constitution of the Republic of Abkhazia."

This kind of insults and unfounded accusations against the Head of State will receive an appropriate legal assessment from the General Prosecutor's Office, says the presidential press service.

“The public organization “Abkhazian People's Movement” spread a statement containing insulting accusations against the Head of State on March 2, 2021. The public is already informed about the circumstances of the trip of citizen B. Kviraya to Georgia (he spoke about them in detail in an interview with AGTRK). We consider it necessary to respond to the part of the statement in which the APM stated that "Mr. Bzhania crossed the red line, which deprives him of the moral right to have the powers prescribed in Article 53 of the Constitution of the Republic of Abkhazia."

The spread of such statements, which contain unfounded accusations against the Head of State of betraying national interests is the "crossing of the red line".

The multinational people of Abkhazia entrusted the legal and moral right to rule the country, to determine the internal and foreign policy of the state in accordance with the Constitution.

If the leaders of the APM refer to the Constitution, then they should know that Article 63 of the Basic Law of the country reads: "The honor and dignity of President are protected by law." We are confident that this kind of insults and unfounded accusations against the Head of State will receive an appropriate legal assessment from the General Prosecutor's Office. "
